MARTHA VAN DER WESTHUIZEN (1948) – Martha was born in 1948 in Cape Town, South Africa. She matriculated at Jan van Riebeeck High School, Cape Town and completed a Diploma in Graphic Design at the University of Stellenbosch in 1970.

After obtaining her diploma she worked as a graphic artist and later as a photographer at an architectural firm in Cape Town. In 1974 she established her own photographic studio

Renier Oosthuizen

RENIER OOSTHUIZEN (1962) – Renier was born in the early 60’s with the love for art in all its forms. His favourite pastime as a child used to be sketching and painting.

His arty and inquisitive mind led him to create works from anything he could lay his hands on. After Art School Renier joined the S.A. Air Force as a chef. During this time, he discovered his ability for composing music and playing the piano.

Roelof Rossouw

ROELOF ROSSOUW (1957) – “I was born in Benoni, South Africa in 1957. My parents took me to every air show and at the age of four I knew all the aircraft and made drawings of them.

Aircraft and flight was my first passion, then came comic heroes like Tarzan, Cisco Kid, Flash Gordon and later Tintin. Inspired by the excellent quality comics and their artists of the sixties, I made my own comics

Gerrit Pitout

GERRIT PITOUT (1953) – Gerrit was born on the 2nd January 1953 in Klerksdorp and matriculated in Barberton. He studied at the University of Pretoria, and with further study at the University of South Africa he gained his honours in art history.

Gerrit also obtained his FPSSA Fellowship in photography. Gerrit’s career as professional artist spans close to 50 years and he has held large exhibitions in America, Israel and all over South Africa.
