INANDA PAGE (1971) – Inanda was born in Boksburg in 1971. In 1981 she moved to Pretoria, Gauteng where she still lives and works as an artist.

After completing matric at Hoërskool Waterkloof in 1988, she studied Theatre Crafts at the Pretoria Technicon, now TUT, and specialised in Decor under artist and lecturer in fine and applied arts, Jan van der Merwe.

GERRIT PITOUT (1953) – Gerrit was born on the 2nd January 1953 in Klerksdorp and matriculated in Barberton. He studied at the University of Pretoria, and with further study at the University of South Africa he gained his honours in art history.

Gerrit also obtained his FPSSA Fellowship in photography. Gerrit’s career as professional artist spans close to 50 years and he has held large exhibitions in America, Israel and all over South Africa.

NICK PAPASTEFANOU – As a graphic designer, photographer and painter, Nic has for the past 40 years, run a design and advertising studio, specializing in graphic design, exhibition design and photography.

So inspired was he after a visit to Greece and Cyprus (birthplace of his parents) that he started painting, hoping to capture a little of the magic that he had experienced on canvas.

GARDIAL POTGIETER (1969) – Gardial’s favourite media are oils and pastels, and her subject matter ranges from portraits to still life. Her work is primarily figurative but with a strong atmospheric quality achieved using muted colour.

Her mission is to create fresh, elegant, lavish pictorial poetry that beguiles, captivates, compels and confounds the viewer by means of visual commentary.

MICHAEL (MIKE) PARSONS (1941 – 2017) – Born in Bukfastleigh, Devon, England in 1941, Michael Parsons came to South Africa with his parents and older sister in 1949. His father was a geological draughtsman employed by Anglo American in Welkom. They later moved to Zambia.

Mike Parsons came back to SA in 1965 to join a flying school in Johannesburg. He later qualified as a commercial pilot and flew a crop duster for 35 years.

ANDRE PRINSLOO – The creative process of my sculpture is very intimate by nature and originates from my subconscious without really thinking about it. I often find it, especially with strangers, difficult to communicate verbally. But, like music, sculpture to me is a universal means of communication.

In the creative process I am busy “talking” to myself, I thus give expression to feelings and emotions buried deep inside me. There are several inspirations for a sculpture.
